Painted Children is an international charity that works with children , women and those with disabilities living in extreme poverty. Our offices are based in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia and Bangladesh. Most of our projects help women, children and the disabled and are located in Southeast Asia, mainly in Bangladesh. We have also started the UK strand of our charity, and are currently recruiting volunteers to support young people with disabilities in Newham, London. Please contact the office if this would interest you. We hope to expand this project across London in the not too distant future. Once these projects are stable and self sufficient we expect to start our operations in the Maldives and Nepal. We have filed an application to obtain consultative status with the UN, we are working closely with "End Water Poverty" and our management team have been recently been recognized as ?Investors in People?. The objective of the charity is to improve the lives of women and children and to illuminate their faces with a smile.
